OnePlus 11 users are in for a treat as the company has begun rolling out a new update for the device, mainly focusing on fixes and improvements. According to Gizmochina, the OxygenOS 14.0.0.501 update is currently being deployed in Europe, the US, India, and other global markets. The update comes with the latest Android security patch from February 2024, which aims to enhance the device’s security and overall performance. The update is being released in stages, so if you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry; it’s coming soon.
The update covers various areas of improvement: it incorporates the latest security patch for better protection, increases overall system stability and performance, resolves app crash issues, rectifies NFC access card functionality in certain situations, and improves the display of weather details and photo albums. You can see the full changelog below.

Connections recognizes a problem where NFC access cards might not function
Apps Improves the experience of checking weather details Resolves a problem where your photos might not appear when you open your albums
The last fix deals with a photo-related issue where photos wouldn’t show up when opening albums in the default photos app. It’s certainly a major problem, so it’s nice to see OnePlus tackling it.
The OnePlus 11, which was launched last year, is no longer the newest flagship smartphone from the Chinese company, as the OnePlus 12 is already on the market. The OnePlus 11 is still a powerful device, however, and it has recently received some good news from OnePlus’ president for the Chinese market, Li Jie. He confirmed that the OnePlus 11, along with the Ace 2 and Ace 2V smartphones, would receive four major Android updates and five years of security patches. That means the OnePlus 11 will be eligible for the future Android 17 update. This puts OnePlus on par with Samsung and Google, with the longest support for its flagship models.
