Samsung has been busy updating its Galaxy devices to the latest Android 14 software, but some of its tablets have been left behind. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, which was launched in early 2023, is one of the last Samsung tablets to get the Android 14 update.
The update is expected to continue rolling out to more devices and regions in 2024, but it is unlikely that any new devices will get it before the end of the year. Samsung has promised to update all its eligible Galaxy devices to Android 14, but some of them may have to wait until next year.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, however, has finally received the update in a few countries, such as Australia and Turkey, according to GSMArena. A Reddit user shared a screenshot of the update notification, which shows that the update is 2GB in size and comes with the November 2023 security patch.
The update brings the One UI 6.0 interface, which has a redesigned quick settings panel that allows users to access their most used features more easily. The update also adds a new look for the Home screen and widgets, as well as new emojis and other enhancements.
Users in Australia and Turkey can check for the update by going to Settings / Software update / Download and install. The update has the firmware version X610XXU1BWK9 or X610OJM1BWKA, depending on the region. Users in other countries will have to wait for the update to reach their devices, or try to manually flash it using Odin.
