Asus is gearing up to unveil its third flagship smartphone of the year, the Zenfone 11 Ultra, after launching the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro earlier. The Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to be a premium device with impressive specifications and features, based on the leaks and rumors that have emerged recently.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra will come in a variety of colors, according to tipster Evan Blass, who shared images of the phone in Desert Sienna, Eternal Black, Misty Gray, Skyline Blue, and Verdure Green. The phone will also sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is the latest and most powerful processor from the company, along with 16GB of RAM, as revealed by a Geekbench benchmark.
The display of the Zenfone 11 Ultra will be a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate of 144Hz, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption. The phone will also support wireless charging, as confirmed by a Wireless Power Consortium certification (via MySmartPrice). The certification also showed that the phone will have a massive 5,500 mAh battery that will support 65W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
The Wireless Power Consortium certification also gave a glimpse of the front design of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, which looks similar to the ROG Phone 8, with minimal bezels and a selfie camera on the top right corner. However, the back of the phone is expected to be different, with a triple camera setup that will include a 50MP main sensor, a 32MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide angle lens.
Asus has announced that it will launch the Zenfone 11 Ultra on March 14, in an online event that will be streamed live. The phone is likely to compete with other flagship devices from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and others. The price and availability of the phone are yet to be revealed, but it is expected to be a premium offering from Asus.
