HMD Global, the Finnish company that has been producing Nokia-branded phones since 2017, is ready to launch its own line of smartphones in 2024. The company has been planning to diversify its portfolio for a while, and it seems that this year will mark the debut of its self-branded devices.
The first glimpse of an HMD smartphone was revealed last week, when a leaked image showed a phone with the model number N159V. According to the reliable tipster Evan Blass, this phone will be offered by Verizon, one of the major US carriers.
But that’s not all. Blass also reported that HMD Global is working on at least six different HMD smartphones, which have the following codenames: Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro, and Legend Pro. It is unknown if these phones will be exclusive to the US market, or if they will be available in other regions as well.
The details and specifications of these HMD phones are still a mystery, but we expect to learn more about them in February, when the Mobile World Congress 2024 will take place. HMD Global usually attends this event and showcases its latest products.
HMD Global has been successful in reviving the Nokia brand and delivering reliable and affordable phones that appeal to many customers. Now, the company is ready to take the next step and introduce its own-branded smartphones, which will hopefully offer the same quality and value as the Nokia ones. HMD Global has the experience and the expertise to make this a reality, and we are eager to see what it has in store for us.
