Samsung’s One UI 6.1 brings a new era of photo editing with its built-in Samsung Photo Editor, graced by the addition of a groundbreaking feature, Generative Edit. This cutting-edge tool enhances the user experience, setting the stage for more exciting updates to come.
The latest version, “v3.4.21.41,” unveils the remarkable Magnetic Lasso option, a game-changer for those seeking precision and control in photo editing. The app’s already versatile toolset receives a significant boost, addressing the limitations of the previous Object Eraser tool.
Previously, users had to choose between two methods for erasing unwanted objects: a tap-to-select feature that often lacked precision and a manual outlining method that proved challenging on a smartphone screen. The results were less than ideal, leaving users craving more control and accuracy.
Enter the Magnetic Lasso, Samsung’s answer to these challenges, combining ease of use with meticulous control. This innovative feature allows users to draw a rough outline around the object they wish to remove. The Magnetic Lasso then intelligently clings to the edges of the object, ensuring a precise selection without the need for perfect outlining.
According to SamMobile’s report, this new feature produces far more satisfactory results compared to the original methods on the Galaxy S23. To explore this enhanced editing experience, navigate to the Object Eraser tool within the Edit > Tools menu of any image in the Gallery. The Magnetic Lasso feature is conveniently enabled by default but can be toggled off if desired.
Initially accessed via APKMirror, this version of the Samsung Photo Editor app is expected to be rolled out through the Galaxy Store soon. This marks another significant step forward in the realm of mobile photo editing, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on their devices.
