Fitbit users can now log their body temperature manually with the latest Android app update. The app has been updated to version 4.06, which adds a new option for “Temperature” in the FAB (floating action button) menu. Users can also find the “Body temperature” card under the “Health” section in the Today feed, which leads to a stats page with the new design style. This feature was discovered by 9to5Google after the app update.
The new feature also lets users manage their manually logged entries more easily. Users can now choose a specific time for their entries and delete them if they want. They can also turn off the card completely by going to the “Customize Today” toggles page. This feature is part of the redesigned Fitbit app. However, it may have been already available in the previous version of the app for users who had a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch that could measure nightly skin temperature variations.
Another device that will soon have this functionality is the Google Pixel 8 Pro, which has a temperature sensor built-in. The device is waiting for the US Food and Drug Administration to approve the feature, which will allow users to measure their body temperature from the app and save it to the Fitbit app. This could be very useful for detecting early signs of a potential illness or for monitoring female reproductive health.
The app can be installed or updated on Android devices from the Google Play Store, while iOS devices are currently on version 4.08. This new feature is a great addition to the Fitbit app, as it gives users more control over their health and helps them make better decisions regarding their health.
